The Intensive Process
Before the Session: Clarify the Moment
After booking, you’ll complete a concise Leadership Snapshot. It asks questions such as:
What is happening now?
What is the upcoming conversation, decision, presentation, or transition?
What outcome would feel meaningful?
What feels difficult or uncertain?
Who is involved, and what dynamics matter?
What have you already tried?
What would you like to be able to say, do, or decide by the end of our work?
You can also send relevant materials in advance. For example, someone preparing for a promotion conversation might share their role description, recent accomplishments, and a draft list of desired responsibilities. Someone preparing for an executive presentation might send the meeting brief or slides.
During the Session: Get to the Real Issue
The intensive is not a generic “brainstorm.” It is a focused coaching conversation built around your immediate goal.
Depending on what you bring, we may:
Clarify the outcome you want and what is within your control
Identify the stakeholder landscape: who decides, who influences, who needs reassurance, and what each person needs to hear
Separate facts from assumptions, fears, inherited narratives, and unhelpful self-talk
Define the leadership stance you want to take: calm, direct, collaborative, decisive, curious, boundaried, or strategic
Choose one or two priorities rather than trying to solve everything at once
Develop a concise, credible message that connects your work to organizational value
Rehearse how to respond if the conversation becomes difficult, vague, dismissive, or emotionally charged
After the Session: Translate Clarity into Action
Within 48 business hours, you’ll receive a personalized written plan that may include:
Your desired outcome and key leadership intention
The top three actions to take in the next 30 days
A preparation checklist for the conversation, meeting, interview, or presentation
A stakeholder and influence map, when relevant
Key messages and suggested talking points
A “when this happens, I will…” plan for likely obstacles
Reflection questions to use after the event
The agreed focus for the follow-up check-in
You’ll then have one 20-minute virtual check-in within 14 days to review what happened, adjust your approach, and identify the next best move.
